Over $200,000 invested! Reportedly there were only about 300 deluxe trucks made in 1936. After years of searching, this 2 owner truck was found in California and was in excellent, rust free condition. A total high end custom build from the ground up was performed. It is a first class, show quality truck that is ready to drive and enjoy. Attention to detail. Every part is premium right down to stainless hardware.
EXTERIOR: It is so beautiful, it is art on wheels. Pristine condition. California body with no rust or bondo. It is all metal except rear fiberglass fenders. The fit and finish is impressive. There isn't even a hint of a ripple. Every inch is straight as a mirror. The rich Paprika red paint looks wet, it is polished like red glass. This truck retains a lot of it's original features like door handles, working locks, louvered hood panels with chrome handles etc. Unique to the deluxe is the rare side mount tire, chrome grill, greyhound ornament, crank out windshield with chrome frame, step plates and deluxe bumpers. Every piece of chrome is show quality. The bumper and taillight brackets are chrome. The taillight wires are in chrome tubing. Chrome headlights have Ford script. The box is pristine. Has marine grade teak wood bed with stainless strips. Tailgate has Ford script, the hinge and hardware is all show chrome. All new smoked glass. Great tire and wheel set up. Staggered size gives it a perfect stance: 15 inch in front and 17 inch in back. Those wide white walls are BFGs, wider in back. Has polished aluminum American Racing wheels with spinners. The gas filler is custom aluminum with Ford script cap. The closer you look, the more you will like. The finish is even slick to the touch.
INTERIOR: It smells like a leather store. First class fit and finishes inside too. Also comfortable, I'm 6 ft and fit no problem. High quality custom stitching, patterns and materials are used on the seat, doors and throughout the cab. Beautiful painted gloss red dash with Boyd gauges that have red accents. Has a matching hot rod tachometer below the dash. Beautiful banjo custom steering wheel on a polished tilt column. Has overhead stereo with remote. 4 speakers are concealed. Has Lokar shifter and e-brake handle. Fancy pedals and linkage. Premium a/c vents, controls are hidden in glovebox. Ignition and headlight switch is hidden under the dash. The power window cranks are actually power window switches. Gently push up or down to operate. Has retractable seatbelts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Mechanical work of art. Impeccable detail. Full of polished parts and gloss paint. Needless to say that fuel injection system is the crown jewel of the motor compartment. It is a polished Iglesias 8 barrel. A ZZ-4 GM crate motor offers performance and reliability. The 350 produces 355 hp. Fully dressed with high end, polished aluminum components. Beautiful finned valve covers with painted grooves. Features chrome modern power steering, braided stainless hoses, coated headers. Every part is polished. Has aluminum radiator, even the hoses are stainless. Water pump is chrome, a/c compressor is polished. Has Mallory ignition. Firewall is smooth and painted slick.
UNDERSIDE: Meticulously assembled and detailed. Sits on a Rod Factory frame with TCI front and rear suspension. Up front it uses independent suspension with tubular control arms, coil over shocks and rack & pinion steering. In back it uses a Ford 9 inch rear end with coil over shocks and tubular upper and lower control arms. Bottom of motor is spotless. Has chrome flywheel cover and high torque starter. The Turbo 350 automatic was rebuilt, has external cooler with stainless braided hoses and an electric fan. Every component, screw, bushing and part under this truck is new. Every hose is braided stainless. The entire brake system is updated. Has chrome booster, drilled and slotted discs at all four wheels and e-brake system. New plastic fuel tank, lines, filter etc. Custom made powder coated dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers.
